Again a simple story of love and loss set entirely in mega store in Chennai. The other the simple, rustic, illiterate rural poor.Īngaadi Theru. Veyil A very touching and simple tale of 2 brothers in a village in the deep south of TN. Goes deeply into the lives of the ordinary beggar you and I might see daily. Yes, a movie about beggars and how they are used by a human flesh trafficking cartel. Naan Kadavul A very very dark movie about Aghoris and the Beggar trade. It won Dhanush the national award as well.the plot? About cock fighting in Madurai (the equivalent of the big bad Bihari / UP heartlands in TN). One of the finest movies to come out of Indian cinema in recent times. Again, a very strong female lead, and a very non macho male lead. Hero falls in love with a deaf & dumb woman. This is a tamil remake of planes, trains and automobiles, but it with a massive tweaking to suit Indian sensibilities.
